New in Tiger, iCal can import birthdays from Apple's Address Book into an appropriately named Birthdays calendar. Select the General pane of iCal's Preferences and check 'Show Birthdays Calendar'.
Also, check out the new print option - it does a decent job of printing an image of the selected day, week, or month. It shows a preview pane and has options to customise the printed page. Prior to Tiger, you had to select File : Print and then iCal from the print dialogue. To get a preview, you had to select Preview from the print dialogue. Tiger encapsulates all this functionality in a simple print dialogue.
Finally, Events can be converted into ToDo's, and vice versa, simply by dragging the Event/ToDo between the main calendar window and the ToDo window. Open the ToDo window by clicking the the pin button in the lower right corner.
