Spotlight - Smart-Looking Smart Folders
Open the smart folder you eagerly created after reading yesterday's tip. If you don't like the default Spotlight Group method of display, whereby items are grouped by kind (Images, Music, Documents), change it. Firstly, make sure Spotlight Group view is selected and press Command-j. Choose Group by: Date from the dialogue window...
...and the display format will change:
Finally, press the 'toolbar sausage' - that little mouse-dropping shaped button at the very top right of the window (try it on a Finder window too) and the window will lose its brushed metal look.
